Team OFC – Where You At?

Because of Defiance, Team OFC is broken and hurting in the worse way. Before I start off let me explain what exactly team OFC is. They are Olivia, Fitz and Cyrus. These three were the epitome of being That Band.

Olivia and Cyrus live breathe; eat Fitzgerald Grant because they believe in him. These two will sacrifice their own happiness for Fitz. They get things done together. They helped rule the world together.

This new Fitz is proving that Fitz is no one’s baby but he’s own man. He can run things on his own.

How are they all coping with this new Fitz 10 Months Later?

Swimming – Olivia’s exercising to help her stop thinking too much about her Defiance mistake. Olivia hasn’t been sleeping well. She had that conversation she had with Fitz at Verna’s memorial on loop in her mind constantly. She not only believes in Fitz – she loves him desperately.

Drinking – Fitz’s drinking to stop thinking about Olivia’s Defiance betrayal. He’s most likely going through every conversation and moment he’s ever had with Olivia. The man did not tell her about the “M” word and called her the love of his life for nothing. Olivia’s it for him. That rest assurance that he’s making the right call is because he trusts her.

Legit Losing Their Damn Minds! – Cyrus is completely beside himself that Fitz is shutting him out. Cyrus lives, breathes and eats Fitzgerald Grant – his shot. Cyrus not only stole the election but he was willing to kill his husband for Fitz. (Thank goodness he didn’t for baby Ella’s sake. Thank goodness Cyrus stopped Charlie, right? Cyrus loves James. He’s satisfiedwith James.) Cyrus silenced Amanda Tanner and he ordered a hit on Hollis Doyle because of Defiance. Cyrus does not take too lightly being the guy behind the man.

Am I saying I want a huge Team OFC reunion? Heck yeah I do but it’s going to be a long bumpy road to that. Why? Olivia and Cyrus differ on two levels –

Love - Olivia’s drunk on her love for Fitz that it sometimes clouds her gut. (We all know how Olivia swears by her gut. We also know that if Olivia hadn’t had Fitz on mind and other Gladiator stuff she may have noticed thatJacob is creepy.) We know why Olivia voted yes to Defiance – it’s because that’s what Fitz wanted not what she wanted. She wanted it for Fitz because Fitz wanted it. Why Fitz loves Olivia: Olivia does not sugarcoat anything to him because of who he is but because of what he believes in. (Tell me someone who wants a friend that blatantly sugarcoats things. Don’t you want someone to call you out on things? Don’t you want someone who tells you as it is? Wouldn’t have much respect for that person? Olivia is THAT person.)

Power -Cyrus is drunk on power. He lives and breathes by the intoxicating behind being the second most powerful man in the world – not country butworld! You saw how Cyrus checked Sally when Fitz got shot, right? Does he care about Fitz? Oh yes he does in his own way but Cyrus is also out for himself. He got his shot and he wants in on it for 8 years. I felt bad for Cyrus because Cyrus knows his politics because he wanted to be President. It’s like Fitz called him - you’re my bulldog. My dragon. Cyrus continues to slay folks for Fitz and that is why Fitz respects Cyrus.

Bottom line – After all that is said and done, you would want to have Olivia and Cyrus in your corner fighting for you, right? Olivia has that with OPA. Fitz has that with Cyrus and Olivia if he learns to forgive and forget. Team OFC or bust!
